June and Gaylord Fryer, along with their grandson and store manager Michael Kerry all operate the Perry Bargain Barn. The Bargain Barn is conveniently located on Route 20 in Perry, Ohio. Each of the owners has experience purchasing and displaying new and used items for retail sales. This store is truly unique.
Each department filling the store is bright and colorful from the walls down to the plush carpeting. The lighting glows throughout the store and gives each item a shine that says 'buy me'. All items displayed for sale are clean, attractive, and usable. Some might even say, collectible. The Fryers also try their best to stock American-made furniture and other items.
The owners of the store know each department inside and out, and are familiar with each item in the store. For most items, there is a good story behind them. In fact, there are probably some great stories about some of the items that will be told with a nice chair, free cup of coffee and a cookie. The owners stand behind their products. There are no rejects. Quality and reasonably priced pieces are best described about their 'one of a kind' merchandise.
June Fryer has been in business for over 30 years at the location, specializing in Amish made furniture. As years passed, it slowly developed to what it is today; practical and durable home furnishings at affordable prices. Some items include living room pieces, desks, lamps, kitchen and house ware, cookie jars, and pictures.
Most items in the store for sale are acquired by attending estate sales and auctions held all over the area. Most items are new or like new. All merchandise is checked for quality, and sometimes is purchased for the wants and needs of a customer who looking for a hard to find or unique something.
There is never any pressure to buy, and because most buyers are satisfied with the prices and enjoy the 'homey' atmosphere of the store our items fly off the shelves. What's old is new again, and sometimes already new at The Perry Bargain Barn! Feel free to stop by!
Please note that the owners do not take items on consignment.
